On Wednesday, Ranmoor Ladies played their penultimate match
of the season against Abbeydale. With Abbeydale sitting pretty at the top of the Division
(not having lost a match all season) and Ranmoor missing one of their strongest
players, Ranmoor readied themselves for a tough match. Jane and Cat were first up against a pair that included one
of the Abbeydale coaches. Although they lost 10-21, 11-21 this was a
respectable score with came with some free coaching to boot J. The
other two Abbeydale pairs were equally strong but Cat and Jane put in a good
show and their scores increased over the course of the match with the pair
almost taking an end.
Helen and Lesley started off well against Abbeydale’s second pair despite losing 12-21, 18-21. This warmed them up nicely and they went on against the 3rd pair taking them to 3 ends but frustratingly for them not quite grabbing a win. They showed good promise against their next pair but just lost the second end 18-21.

Defeat is never easy to take but Ranmoor put in a good effort and showed good sportsmanship. Highightof the night was the video of the family of cute, fluffy foxes scampering around in Lesley's back garden. Well we are girls aren't we?
